Melody can be like a conversation. Where the words are replaced with the notes of a tune and the meaning of the words by an emotion.
I remember first hearing this openly in a Chassidic tune called Kol Dodi by the Alter Rebbe. It is explained about this melody that a dialogue is taking place between two voices, G-d and the soul, and it is an actual conversation in the melody that one can hear.
Alot of the music here was recorded late at night as ideas, when the visible light of the day vanishes, the sense of sound is left to open up more..
